Getting an engraving done for your first salute helps preserve the legacy of the event.

Getting a direct engraved coin preserves this legacy until the coin is melted down or somehow destroyed.

Until that day comes your name will exist on this silver eagle, tastefully and legibly engraved with text at 1.5mm tall.

The engraving does not actually remove any precious metal content from the coin and it will remain at least one full troy ounce of .999 (99.9%) pure silver.

We do all engraving in house and have a number of different options to choose from as far as engraving goes.

Most choose;

Your Rank/Name on the front

and your enlisted mentor rank/name on the back or something like "First Salute-USAF"

Your coin will ship in a round direct-fit air-tites coin protector, made right here in the USA

I throw in a small velour keeping pouch if no other coin holder is purchased.

The colors available are Black, Blue, Red or Green

Unless a certain color is out of stock I usually use the following.

USA & USAF-USSF - Black

USN, USCG and Merchant Marine - Navy Blue

USMC - Red (Or Navy Blue)

NOAA - Green

Use the drop down menus and entry fields to customize the coin for your engraving or....

Just spell the names or text exactly as you want them engraved in the ORDER NOTES and we will take it from there!

Remember you get to choose a front and back engraving!

There is a character limit but if you are shy on room for just a few characters,

leave directions in the order notes or drop us a line.

*If you have a longer name, please do not include your middle initial.

*Consider putting your info on the back of the coin where there is a bit more room.

*Hyphenated Last names nearly always will NOT fit on the front.

*Double check your spelling and rank-title formatting. If you enter something wrong it is basically like setting a hundo on fire. If I make a mistake I will correct it at no cost to the customer.
