The 1987 Constitution Silver Dollar was minted to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Constitution of the United States, which was adopted on 17th of September, 1787.
The obverse design of this silver dollar features a depiction of a quill pen and sheets of parchment with the first three words of the U.S. Constitution “We the People” as a centerpiece.
The reverse shows a diverse group of 13 people that span of the cultural and social spectrum of the United States. The edge inscriptions read; “E Pluribus Unum” and “United States of America”. The obverse and reverse were designed by Patricia Lewis Verani.
These beautiful coins come with the original US MINT Issued  box and coin capsule,
Certificate of Authenticity, as well as the original US Mint Box and Sleeve (unless otherwise indicated) Please keep in mind that these coins are already over 30 years old and while the coin its self is always perfect, sometimes the outer box shows some wear.
