1991 Korean War Commemorative Silver Dollar

United States Mint

$ 38.99

These silver dollars were produced to observe the 38th anniversary of the end of the Korean War and to honor the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who served there.
The obverse or front of this coin features an infantryman assaulting a hill, five Navy ships in the foreground and two F-86 Sabre jet fighters streaking through the sky.
The reverse of the coin depicts the Korean peninsula with the DMZ clearly marked as well as an eagle head and the inscriptions E Pluribus Unum, One Dollar and United States of America.
So why is it a 38th anniversary coin? Well, this represents the fact that the DMZ is located on the 38th parallel.
The proof version of this coin comes in impressive US Mint packaging to include the original box, a green velveteen lined coin case and the certificate of authenticity.
The BU version comes in a smaller mint box, backed by a Red, White and Blue ribbon.
Other variants if listed will come in an air-tites coin capsule with matching display base, made right here in the USA.
